Innate Immunity Pathways

Innate Immunity Pathways and Responses

Insects have diverse mechanisms to combat infection by pathogens. Barriers like a protective cuticle, anti microbial secretions, or an inhospitable gut pH, which are an insect’s primary defenses against pathogens.

Innate immune responses include phagocytosis, encapsulation, production of anti-microbial substances, etc. In this project we have categorized genes into seven general innate immunity pathways and responses. Please explore these data sets through individual pathways and/or by species of insect.
