Innate Immunity Pathways
The c-Jun N-terminal kinases (JNK) signaling pathway plays a central role in controlling cell fate, morphogenesis, and stress. Signals that stress cells during inflammation or changing environmental conditions induce a particular class of MAPKs called the stress-activated protein kinases (SAPKs).
The JNK pathway includes a number of genes and many of these genes are found in some insect species but missing in others. Our database can provide a complete list of the genes present and absent in each of the model insect species while the Blast tool can help find similar genes in other insect species.
