Innate Immunity Pathways

JAK/STAT PATHWAY

The Janus kinase/signal transducers and activators of transcription (JAK/STAT) pathway is used to transduce a multitude of signals for development and homeostasis including a wide array of cytokines and growth factors. Activation of this pathway is commonly associated with viral infections in insects and is likely a response to stress and cellular damage due to infection.
